do senior citizens get into football games FREE up here in Scotland? they should get in free, as lets face it aw the oldies have to do all day is either knit ,do crosswords, or play carpet bowls! so, do any oaps you know ever attend live sports events or are ppl too old at a certain age in your opinions?

What are the best hobbies to take part in if you are skint? I can think of: hillwalking, reading, watching TV, sex, surfing the net, free bingo, chatting to mates with your free minutes, hanging around, crosswords & puzzles, chess, sports. Good answers so far - keep them coming!

I need to convince my friends that soccer is a real sport so I devised some tests to help. Will these work? 1. Begin playing a game of soccer and time how long it takes spectators to fall asleep or start doing crossword puzzles. 2. Show how the soccer method of breaking ties can be carried to other sports i.e. boxing, after the match is declared a draw each boxer gets to take one free swing at the other boxer. This continues until a winner is declared. 3. Have a group of soccer kids run up and down the field waving to their grandparents and test whether it is imperative that soccer players pay attention to the ball being kicked. 4. Test whether the upper half of a top soccer players body atrophies from lack of use.
