How do I get the New York Times crossword puzzle online for free? Is it even possible?

I'd love that. Cuz I don't wanna buy the whole newspaper but I looove doing the puzzles.

1. Go to a bookstore. They have books with dozens of these NY Times puzzles in them. They cost a few dollars, but are worth every penny. That way, you can work on one whenever and wherever you want
2. Try the library. If it's there you could photocopy it. You're not alone in refusing to buy the NYTimes. It's in the tank. Subscription is down by 95% and is not likely to exist much longer. I think there are books for sale that contain hundreds of specific crossword puzzles. I like the Wall Street Journal crossword the best. Really makes you think. Good luck.
3. I don't think you can get the NYT crossword online free. Their crosswords are encrypted in a special program. You have to purchase a subscription in order to get the encryption software download. I do subscribe to it because I like it and with the subscription, I can download and print as many as I like.
