Why can't I play Yahoo Crosswords since I updated my Internet Explorer?

I've followed all the instructions given by both Yahoo and Java. My Java is enabled and I have the latest IE, but when I click on a title, it says to enable my Java or upgrade my IE. Any ideas?

1. I am using the old internet explorer. The new one wouldn't let me play any games on yahoo or pogo either. Or the alternative to internet explorer is mozilla firefox. It is exactly like internet explorer with tabs and all. If you google it, the download is free. I hope this helps. :D
