  1. I'd recommend the wooden puzzles by Melissa and Doug. You can get them at all of the major retailers (Target, ToysRUs) and Amazon, and at boutique toy stores as well. I haven't seen them at KB, but that doesn't mean they don't have them.
  2. Yup, I second the wooden type puzzles. Something strong and durable and try to find the wood puzzles with the little pegs to help the child hold them. I wouldn't suggest anything cardboard for a 2yo.
  3. I bought my son wooden puzzles for his 2nd birthday. I bought the Leap Frog puzzles at Target. They have magnetic pieces so when he carries the puzzles around the pieces don't fall out of the tray. They have puzzles for shapes, colors, numbers, and the alphabet. I have heard good things about Melissa and Doug puzzles and they are at Target as well.
  4. target has some great wooden puzzles, numbers, shapes, colors, alphabet, they also have a nice rack that holds them and they are not too expensive, my 2 year old loves them
  5. I also agree with the Melissa and Doug puzzles, which can be found at Toys R Us and many other toy stores. They're wooden, so they're nice and durable. My son loved the toddler ones when he was 1 - 2 years old. Now that he's a little older, he loves the M & D wooden jigsaw puzzles. They're made very well and don't cost too much.
  6. The wooden puzzles with the pegs on the peices of puzzle are the best. I have a ton of them from friends and family fo our little girl and i can entertain her for well a long time with the,. just doing them and messing them up doing them and messing them up...
  7. Wooden puzzles with only 4 or 5 pieces.
